Why Goat Milk?
You drink goat milk?
Yes, we drink our goat milk! Many folks are surprised to learn this. That is, until they try it for themselves. Yes, good goat milk tastes like milk! Only better than the typical cow milk from the grocery store (we might be biased, but it really is our favorite!!)
Clean, gentle handling, quick cooling, and happy, well fed goats gives our milk it's delicious character without "goat-iness." Goat milk is naturally homogenized meaning the cream is naturally integrated. All our milk is gently pasteurized using a process that preserves most of the proteins and nutrients in the milk while still adding an important layer of safety.
It is wholesome, creamy, sweet, and delicious.
Studies are showing many benefits to drinking goat milk.
For people who struggle with cow’s milk sensitivities, goat’s milk can be a great alternative! Goat’s milk does contain lactose - but at lower levels than cow’s milk. It is higher in fat and protein than cow’s milk as well. The proteins in goat’s milk (which are naturally A2 proteins) have been shown to be less allergenic than cow milk proteins. *
Goat milk is also a great source of calcium (strong bones), potassium (helps maintain normal blood pressure), and can boost your immune system, fight allergies, and reduce inflammation. What a wonder food!
Of course, great milk helps make great cheese!
Goat cheese is generally tangier and smoother than cow cheeses. It is a nutrient dense food that satiates, nourishes, and elevates any cheese board.
If you are someone who can’t have cow milk, but goat milk is ok for you (or you just prefer goat cheese in general) our wide variety of goat cheeses can be substituted in most recipes for cow milk counterparts.
